ARTIST STATEMENT

“My motivation and constant goal is to explore the beautiful patterns I see throughout nature.  The organic, thriving, growth of lines is a distilled pattern which I see in many aspects of the world around us. I wish to delve into the beauty and simplicity of those patterns to create works which can open itself to diverse interpretations.

This exploration of mine can be a type of meditation which is somewhat free-form and unplanned, yet I still endeavor to create a balanced composition. I enjoy this push and pull between the organic/intuitive forms, and deliberate composition, for within that is the journey which holds more joy than the actual “destination” or final work of art.”
